APPROACHING their do-or-die encounter with Far Eastern University for a berth in the UAAP men’s basketball Finals, La Salle star Jeron Teng admitted there is no pressure on the Green Archers to keep their title.

Teng said the Green Archers consider each game in the Final Four as a blessing and that winning back-to-back championships doesn’t weigh down on them.

“Laging sinasabi ni coach (Juno Sauler) na we're blessed to have more games lang,” said Teng. “Every game we take it as a blessing na mas lalong tumatagal ang season namin.”

“So wala naman pressure na ma-retain ang championship,” he added.

The Archers forged the rubber match against the Tamaraws following their 94-73 win last Saturday.

The do-or-die encounter is set Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Teng, who tallied a team-high 25 points against FEU, urged his teammates to stay hungry and keep in mind that the win won’t mean a thing if they lose to the second-seeded Tamaraws, who holds a twice to beat edge.

“I just told the team (that) we should stay hungry for next game,” he said. “It's not yet over. The win will not matter if we lose the next game.”
