Can FEU Tamaraws finish off Tigers in Game Two? Racela not getting ahead of himself

FAR Eastern University goes for a sweep of the UAAP Season 78 Finals in Game Two on Saturday against University of Santo Tomas at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

FEU moved one victory away from ending a decade-long title drought when it beat UST, 75-64, on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena. The Tamaraws can wrap up the best-of-three series in the 3:30 p.m. match.

The Tamaraws, however, know too well that a Game One victory guarantees nothing. They also won the opener of the title series last season only to lose the next two games to National University.

“I think we learned our lesson from last year’s final,” said FEU coach Nash Racela. “The series is not yet over. We need another win.”

UST coach Bong Dela Cruz refused to dwell on the Game One loss.

“Walang sisihan sa family namin. As a family we are down, nangyayari 'yan, so kailangan i-regroup lang namin ang family namin ang kailangan maging happy kami,” said Dela Cruz.

Kiefer Ravena, meanwhile, will formally be awarded the MVP trophy in the awarding ceremony set to start at 2 p.m.
