FAR Eastern University-Diliman shoots for the UAAP Season 79 juniors basketball crown on Friday as the Baby Tamaraws guns for a sweep in their best-of-three finals series against the National University Bullpups at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Gametime is at 2 p.m. with the Baby Tamaraws eyeing their first title since Jerie Pingoy led the team to the crown in 2012.

FEU coach Allan Albano will definitely want the series to end in Game Two, but admitted it is easier said than done against the reigning champion.

Albano said FEU has a tendency to relax following a win, and taking things lightly against the Bullpups is definitely a no-no for Game Two.

“Ang hirap eh. Kapag ang FEU, mahina ang kalaban, nagre-relax. Sakit ata ng FEU ‘yun. Itong NU, hindi siya mahina, beteranong team,” said Albano.

“Try natin ayusin ‘yung mental toughness nila during the series,” said Albano.

Kenji Roman had 12 points to lead the balanced attack for the Baby Tamaraws, but the team nearly squandered their lead as the Bullpups came storming back.

All eyes will be on John Lloyd Clemente, who definitely doesn’t want Game Two to be the final game of his high school career with NU. Clemente had 25 points in the series-opener, while Rhayyan Amsali and Winderlich Coyoca also had vital contributions but the Bullpups will need more from other players in order to extend the series.
