LA Salle looks to close out the UAAP Season 79 seniors basketball finals series on Wednesday against Ateneo at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Gametime is set at 3:30 p.m. with the Green Archers eyeing a sweep of the best-of-three championship series.

La Salle coach Aldin Ayo likes the play of the Green Archers after coming off a 65-63 win in Game One at the Mall of Asia Arena, but noted he is still looking for more from his players.

“May mga players pa na nawawala. Sino nandun? Ben (Mbala), JT (Jeron Teng), Kib (Montalbo). Kailangan ko ng isa o kahit tatlong players na maglaro ng laro nila para mairaos ‘yung Game Two,” said Ayo.

Ayo was pleased with the performance despite the close score, in contrast to his response during the Final Four where he expressed disappointment over their win over Adamson.

“Gusto manalo,” said Ayo. “After that game against Adamson, na-challenge sa mga sinabi ko. First practice namin, nagpakamatay ‘yung mga ‘yun at pinilit ibalik ‘yung mga dating ginagawa namin.”

Ayo said La Salle developed bad habits along the way in their season, which led to its lone defeat against Ateneo in the second round.

“Nung nananalo kasi kami, even though we were winning, nagkaroon kami ng bad habits. Sabi ko nga, ‘yung mga talo namin sa Ateneo, alam mong parating pero hindi mo alam kung kailan,” Ayo said.

“Yung ball movement, execution, ‘yung crucial plays, hindi sila nag-one on one. Ibig sabihin, naniniwala sila sa sistema at sa mga plays,” said Ayo.
