IN posting their biggest margin of victory this season, coach Aldin Ayo noted the Green Archers were not even executing well on the offensive end.

La Salle won by a mile over University of Santo Tomas, their third win in as many games in UAAP Season 79, but Ayo

“Sa first half, we were not executing. We were impatient and we just don’t go to the right spots and we don’t make the right decisions. After the first half, I told them to just execute, be patient, and ’yun nga ang nangyari,” Ayo said.

Ayo also said the Archers managed to run the right plays for about four minutes, and knows that will not be enough in the coming games.

“Siguro ’yung first three to four minutes ng third quarter, ’yun ang gusto naming mangyari. Pero ’yung first half, hindi pa ’yun. Marami pang lapses. Both ends, marami pa. Siguro ’yung game changer sa amin is how we started the third quarter.

“If we can play like that for the rest of our games, siguro magiging maganda ang resulta para sa amin,” said Ayo.

Ben Mbala led the attack for the Green Archers, finishing with 18 points and 16 rebounds, while Jeron Teng also had a big game with 13 points as the relentless La Salle squad led by as many as 41 points in the match.

Still, Ayo is very pleased the Archers are in the early lead.

“If we play as a team, this is what happens. Ever since naman, ’yun ang winoworkout namin kung papaano mabubuo ’yung team chemistry and game plan. For the players, it’s just a matter of absorbing the system and surrendering to the system and doing what they are asked to do by the coaches,” said Ayo.
