Ateneo looks to bounce back from sorry loss as Eagles battle winless UE Red Warriors
Ateneo consultant Tab Baldwin looks to help get the Eagles back on track.

ATENEO looks to bounce back from a sorry loss as it takes on winless University of the East on Saturday in the UAAP Season 79 basketball tournament at the MOA Arena.

The Blue Eagles and the Red Warriors battle at 4 p.m.

Ateneo is out to get back on track after losing by a point over Adamson last week when Dawn Ochea hit a last-gasp basket to lift the Falcons. The Blue Eagles, however, had a 10-point lead that they blew to drop to a 2-2 win-loss record.

Ateneo shares third place with Far Eastern University, University of Santo Tomas, and National University.

UE is winless in four games, bowing to University of the Philippines, 75-71, on Wednesday.

UE coach Derrick Pumaren wants his team to remain positive despite the struggles.

“They have to believe in themselves that they are a better than what we are in the standings right now,” said Pumaren.
