Blue Eaglets cruise past Baby Falcons to stay unbeaten in nine games

ATENEO romped to its ninth win, beating Adamson, 64-47, on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 80 juniors basketball at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Blue Eaglets led by as many as 24 points, easing to victory and maintaining their lead over National University (7-2) in the standings.

Dave Ildefonso had 12 points and eight rebounds, while Jason Credo had 11 points for the Blue Eaglets.

Joaqui Manuel had 10 points and 11 rebounds, as Kai Sotto finished with nine points, 12 rebounds and five blocks.

The Blue Eaglets limited the Baby Falcons to only 6 of 32 from three-point range.

Ateneo shot 15 for 74 from the field, skidding to 4-5 for fifth place in the standings.

Adam Doria and Jun Baculio were the only double-digit scorers for Adamson with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Action resumes on Saturday with Ateneo facing Far Eastern University at 9 a.m., and National University taking on University of Santo Tomas at 11 a.m. University of the East and Adamson clash at 1 p.m. and University of the Philippines Integrated School faces De La Salle-Zobel at 3 p.m.
