ATENEO moved one victory away from an outright berth in the UAAP Season 80 juniors basketball finals with a 101-74 win over University of the East on Wednesday at the Blue Eagle Gym.

The Blue Eaglets led by as many as 38 points to pull off their 13th win in as many games.

Ateneo can complete the sweep of the elimination round with a win over National University on Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym.

SJ Belangel finished with 16 points, five rebounds, and seven assists, while Dave Ildefonso had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Blue Eaglets.

Jason Credo added 15 points, as Kai Sotto contributed 13 points and eight rebounds for Ateneo, which outscored UE, 38-16, in the second quarter.

Agem Miranda had 20 points for UE, which lost its 12th game in 13 outings.
