Double-doubles by Encho Serrano, Carl Tamayo power Adamson's romp over UPIS

ADAMSON bounced back strong after suffering its first loss in dealing the University of the Philippines an 18-point beating, 77-59, in the UAAP Season 79 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Encho Serrano tallied 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Gerry Austin Abadiano collected 20 points for the Baby Falcons, who also got a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds from Carl Tamayo.

The Baby Falcons upped their record to 8-1 after suffering their first defeat at the hands of Far Eastern University last weekend.

In other games, National University got its eighth win in nine outings after defeating De La Salle-Zobel, 63-52. Winderlich Coyoca had 13 points and eight rebounds, while Karl Penano added 12 points for the Bullpups.

Far Eastern University blasted University of the East, 94-51, to grab its seventh victory in nine games, while Ateneo defeated University of Santo Tomas, 81-75, for a 5-4 win-loss record.

Standings: Adamson 8-1, NU 8-1, FEU 7-2, Ateneo 5-4, UPIS 3-6, DLSZ 2-7, UST 2-7, UE 1-8.
