Adamson overcomes tough challenge from lowly UE to gain share of third in UAAP Jrs

ADAMSON escaped the upset ax and defeated University of the East, 72-66, on Saturday in the UAAP Season 80 juniors basketball at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Baby Falcons outscored the Junior Warriors, 27-9, in the fourth quarter after trailing by 12 points, 57-45, at the end of the third.

Adamson gained a share of third place with University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University with a 5-5 win-loss slate.

Jose Sabandal had 20 points, while Adrian Manlapaz had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Baby Falcons.

Andrei Dulalia had 23 points and 20 rebounds for the Junior Warriors, who remained at the bottom with a 1-9 slate.
