ADAMSON and National University overcame separate opponents on Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre to stay in the top two of the UAAP Season 79 juniors basketball tournament.

The Baby Falcons ripped University of the East, 93-68, while the Bullpups routed University of Sto. Tomas, 72-59.

Encho Serrano scored 17 points as the Baby Falcons recorded their 11th victory in 12 matches.

John Lloyd Clemente had 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Rhayyan Amsali also had a double-double effort of 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Bullpups, who improved to 10-2.

Adamson and NU are expected to be challenged for the two twice-to-beat incentives by Far Eastern University-Diliman, which defeated University of the Philippines, 99-75.

UST is in fifth with a 4-8 record, while UPIS and De La Salle-Zobel share sixth at 3-9. UE is at the bottom with a 1-11 mark.
