Adamson rips La Salle Zobel to stay unbeaten in UAAP juniors basketball
Encho Serrano shows the way anew as the Baby Falcons dealt the Junior Archers their fourth loss.

ADAMSON whipped De La Salle-Zobel, 78-53, on Saturday to remain unbeaten in the UAAP Season 79 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Encho Serrano had another big day as he scored 22 points for the Baby Falcons, now with five wins in five games.

Already there is talk of a first-round sweep, but Adamson coach Goldwin Monteverde is not taking things lightly as the Baby Falcons still have University of Sto. Tomas and University of the East on schedule.

“We don’t want to relax. Our approach is to take one game at a time,” said Adamson coach Goldwin Monteverde, tasked to steer the Baby Falcons after guiding Chiang Kai Shek College to numerous high school crowns.

The Junior Archers dropped to 1-4.

Far Eastern University-Diliman scored its third straight win, beating University of the Philippines Integrated School, 84-68.

Daniel Celzo had 18 points and nine boards for the Baby Tamaraws, who gained a share of second with 4-1. UPIS dropped to 2-3.

Reigning champion National University bested UST, 73-64, for its fourth win in five games. The Tiger Cubs slipped to 1-4.

Ateneo trounced University of the East, 89-62. The Blue Eaglets improved to 2-3, while the Junior Warriors slumped to 1-4.
