MIKE Fermin loomed as a strong candidate to take over Adamson after the Baby Falcons accepted the resignation of Goldwin Monteverde as head coach of the squad.

Sources said school officials are now looking for a new head coach after Adamson accepted the courtesy resignation submitted by Monteverde.

One of the strongest candidates is Fermin, who is currently the Lady Falcons mentor and a former coach of the seniors team.

Fermin led the Lady Falcons to the Final Four last season after a one-win season two years ago.
