TOPEX Robinson could coach another NCAA team next year.
After stepping down as mentor of San Sebastian earlier this month, the Alaska assistant coach confirmed negotiations between him and Lyceum are ongoing about the possibility of him calling the shots for the Pirates next season.
“When I came out (of San Sebastian), may mga konting talks lang din, but as of now, kung baga we’re getting to know each other pa lang,” Robinson told Spin.ph on Thursday.
Rumors of Robinson being the new Lyceum coach have been making the rounds, but he stressed there’s nothing final yet.
“Wala pa naman eh. Even though I resigned already, wala pang formal na (agreement), so I’m just waiting din coming from Lyceum.”
Still, he admitted of his interest in handling the Pirates, who are seeking a replacement for longtime mentor Bonnie Tan.
“Nasa process pa rin, but we’re looking forward din na makapunta sa Lyceum.”
