TEY Teodoro wants nothing but an NCAA Final Four stint for Jose Rizal University and his 16 point explosion in the fourth quarter of the Heavy Bombers’ 75-60 win over Lyceum on Friday is a testament to that.
Teodoro ended up finishing with a team-high 25 points to lead the Heavy Bombers to their third win in five outings.
The JRU stalwart admitted feeling he need to do more in the second half after scoring just five points in the first two quarters.
“Kailangan ko talagang mag double effort eh kasi nasa gitna pa lang kami ng standings eh. Ang target namin eh Final Four,” Teodoro said.
The hot-shooting guard acknowledged poor chemistry has been the reason for the Heavy Bombers’ slow start in the season, although the team hopes to recover lost ground by the time the second round begins.
JRU is looking to keep its winning ways as it takes on College of St. Benilde next.
“Stick lang kami sa game plan ni coach. Tapos pag pinasok kami, depensa lang. Siya naman kasi may sabi na darating yung offense namin kapag maganda yung defense naming,” said Teodoro.
