SCOTTIE Thompson said he believes Perpetual Help has all the ingredients to contend for the the NCAA basketball championship in Season 92 even in his absence.

The 2014 league MVP said the Altas have become a more complete team this season, unlike last season when the Ginebra rookie was practically left to do most of the work on his own.

“Para sa akin, kayang kaya nila makuha ‘yung championship,” said Thompson after watching his former team end Arellano's seven-game winning run with a 76-62 victory.

“Lahat ginagamit. Halos lahat nagco-contribute. ‘Yun ‘yung wala sa amin dati na meron sila ngayon,” added the team's former triple-double threat.

Perpetual Help, now tied with Arellano for second place with a 10-3 win-loss slate, has also become a much better team defensively, Thompson noted.

The numbers validate that as the Altas are giving up a league-best 61.6 points per game going to the Arellano game.

“Maganda ‘yung depensa nila. Halos lahat sila, naka-focus sa depensa kaya maganda record nila,” said Thompson.

Now a rising star at Ginebra, Thompson said he will continue to support the Altas.

“Dugong Altas ako. ‘Yung suporta ko, nandito pa rin,” said Thompson.
