SAN Sebastian claimed another giant scalp in University of Perpetual Help, denting the Altas' Final Four hopes with a 91-87 win on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 91 men’s basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Jamil Ortuoste scored 27 points while Bradwyn Guinto added 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Stags, who, despite being out of contention, have won three of their last four games to improve to 6-11 win-loss overall.

Aside from the Altas, the Stags have also beaten defending champion San Beda and co-leader Letran this season.

The Altas' second successive loss dropped them to 11-6, good for third place but just half a game ahead of Mapua, Jose Rizal University and Arellano in the race for the four semifinal berths.

Dagangon had 22 points, while Akhuetie added 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Altas, who put to waste the seventh triple-double performance of Scottie Thompson this season.
