SAN Beda enters the Final Four on a 10-game winning run after a 92-74 rout of Arellano in the NCAA Season 92 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Red Cubs dominated the ballgame in front of a near-capacity crowd to finish the eliminations with a 17-1 record.
San Beda coach JB Sison said the team was determined to get back at Arellano after suffering a 93-90 loss in the first round.
“We really prepared well for this game kasi sila ’yung nakatalo sa amin sa first round. Coming into the game, we also want to get the momentum going to the Final Four,” said Sison.
“Medyo nagkaisa kami na makabawi kami kaya hanggang dulo, linaban nila,” he added.
Evan Nelle had 19 points, four rebounds, and five assists for the Red Cubs, while Robi Nayve added 16 points.
Sam Abu Hijle totaled 10 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks for the Taytay-based dribblers.
Guilmer Dela Torre scored 20 points for the Braves, who suffered their fourth consecutive loss. The Braves hold a 13-5 win-loss record.
