SAN Beda kept its slate unblemished with an 85-61 demolition of Perpetual Help on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 91 juniors basketball competition at The Arena in San Juan.
Alberto Bordeus had 15 points for the six-time defending champion Red Cubs, who improved their record to 6-0.
Bordeus scored 10 of the Red Cubs’ 23 points in the third quarter as San Beda extended a two point lead to a 58-44 advantage.
Robi Nayve and Samuel Abuhijle had 14 points each for San Beda, which took a one-and-a-half game lead over second-placers Arellano and Mapua (4-1).
John Umali had 32 points and 11 rebounds for the Altalettes, who remained winless in six games.
In the first game, Ricci Rivero had 21 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocks as College of St. Benilde-La Salle Greenhills beat Jose Rizal University, 86-47.
John Mallillin had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Junior Blazers, who now have an even 3-3 win-loss slate.
John Sta. Maria had 15 points and 12 rebounds as the Light Bombers stayed winless after six matches.
