REY Nambatac admitted that he was caught off guard by Lyceum's defense, leading to one of his worst shooting games of the season in Letran's loss to Lyceum on Friday.
Nambatac powered Letran’s comeback but the Knights' marked man rued that his explosion in the fourth period came too late as they suffered a close 75-72 loss.
The Letran star scored 22 points but hit only 7-of-19 from the field as the Knights dropped to 5-3 in the standings.
Nambatac hopes his off-day serves as a lesson to him and his teammates as the Knights go up against Mapua on Tuesday.
“Tingin ko lesson learned ito sa amin. Ang dami naming lapses so kailangan wala na kaming masyadong lapses. The more na ganun, nawawala kami sa sistema so kailangan maging composed kami sa Tuesday," he said.
"It's going to be a tough game on Tuesday.
