    Red Lions assert mastery of Generals and take share of NCAA lead

    SAN Beda asserted its mastery of Emilio Aguinaldo College, 91-76, on Tuesday take a share of the lead in the NCAA Season 92 men's basketball tournament at the San Juan Arena.

    The Red Lions scored their third win in as many games to join Mapua atop the heap.

    EAC, which has yet to win against the Red Lions in 15 meetings, dropped to a 1-2 card.

    Ranbill Tongco and Amiel Soberano stepped up in the absence of Dan Sara, exploding for 22 and 21 points, respectively for San Beda.

    Sara fractured his finger during practice. 

    Davon Potts added 13 markers. 

    "We shot well today and I'm happy with that. Hopefully everything will fall into place," said San Beda coach Jamike Jarin, whose team made 36 of 89 attempts from the field. 

    Hamadou Laminou had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Generals.

    EAC (76) - Laminou 18, Munsayac 13, Onwubere 12, Morada 11, King 10, Pascua 7, Corilla 3, Diego 2, Aguas 0, Estacio 0, General 0, Guzman 0, Mendoza 0, Neri 0, Serrano 0.
