OLA Adeogun could face sanctions from the NCAA after damaging the door of the San Beda Red Lions dugout at The Arena in San Juan at halftime of their match against Arellano on Tuesday.

Sources told Spin.ph the NCAA Commissioner’s Office is looking into the incident that saw Adeogun kick the fiberglass door out of frustration after the Red Lions found themselves trailing, 37-41, against Arellano at halftime.

It also was the second time Adeogun had damaged property inside the San Juan venue, the souces added.

San Beda eventually lost the game, 84-88, in what turned out to be a frustrating afternoon for Adeogun, who finished with 10 points and eight rebounds in 20 minutes but went scoreless in the second half.

San Beda coach Jamike Jarin said Adeogun apologized to the team for what he did, but reiterated the Nigerian import needs to check his emotions.

“He apologized and he won’t do it again,” said Jarin. “Ola is a 6-8 player and you always look at him as a 6-8 200 pounder. But he is still young. Emotions got into him.

“Like what I told him, he needs to control his emotions. The only person in this team that has the right to be emotional is me,” said Jarin.

As for possible sanctions on Adeogun, Jarin said he isn't sure if the action should merit a possible suspension.

“I know we have to pay for that. Do you get suspended for that? I don’t know. He is just mad at himself,” said Jarin.
