SAN Sebastian College stunned three-time champion University of Perpetual Help, 25-17, 25-17, 26-24, on Friday in the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
Jolina Labiano scored 13 points for SSC, while Kinna Arabe and Kikka Dalisay chipped in 11 markers apiece.
The Recto-based SSC belles snapped Perpetual Help’s three-game winning streak to improve to 3-0 for a three-way tie for the lead with Arellano and College of St. Benilde.
Lourdes Clemente scored nine points for the Lady Altas, while skipper Jamela Suyat contributed seven.
Meanwhile, CSB clobbered Jose Rizal University, 25-17, 25-19, 25-13, behind Jannine Navarro, Jeanette Panaga and Ranya Musa.
Navarro finished with 16 points, while Panaga and Musa combined for 21 markers.
Maria Shola Alvares had 10 points for JRU, which holds an even record of 2-2 in fifth spot.
