Michael Enriquez makes it a double for Mapua by winning NCAA juniors MVP award

MICHAEL Enriquez of Mapua captured the MVP award in the juniors division of NCAA Season 91.

Enriquez actually placed second in the MVP race with a 48.50 player all-around value (PAV), but topnotcher Ricci Rivero of La Salle Greenhills (57.35) was disqualified from receiving any award after getting ejected from one game during the elimination round.

Enriquez was joined in the Mythical Five by teammate Sherwin Concepcion, Samuel Abu Hijle of San Beda, and Guilmer Dela Torre and Carlo Abadeza of Arellano.

John Umali of Perpetual Help won the Defensive Player of the Year award while Lars Sunga of Arellano won the Rookie of the Year plum. Maui Cruz of Emilio Aguinaldo College was named Most Improved Player.
