SAN Sebastian led from the start and cruised to victory, 87-71, over Emilio Aguinaldo College on Thursday in a non-bearing NCAA basketball game at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Stags improved to a 7-10 win-loss record, while the Generals slipped to 5-11.
Michael Calisaan spearheaded San Sebastian's attack from the get-go, dropping 10 of his 22 points in the opening period to set the tone for the Stags, who improved to a 7-10 win-loss record.
Allyn Bulanadi had 14 markers, RK Ilagan scored 13 and Jerick Fabian had 12 points for San Sebastian.
"Walang no-bearing game para sa amin. Yung mga bata gusto maging ready sa mga games. Sa practice pukpukan, everybody wants to improve," said San Sebastian coach Egay Macaraya.
Behind Calisaan, the Stags raced off to a 29-15 start. The Generals tried to stay within striking distance, and was behind by only eight, 39-31, at the half.
The Stags, though, regained steam and took a 72-52 cushion in the last quarter to pull away for good.
In their 11th loss in 16 games, Sidney Onwubere paced the Generals with 18 points before getting ejected with 7:21 remaining in the payoff period for incurring his second technical foul.
Hamadou Laminou had a double-double outing of 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Remy Morada chipped in 14 points.
