HIS primary job was to try and limit NCAA's best point guard Jio Jalalon, but Mcjour Luib did much more than that for Letran on Tuesday.
Luib shot five three-pointers, two during a key stretch in the fourth period, and finished with 17 points to help lift the Knights over the Chiefs.
He credited coaches and teammates for his stellar performance, which helped Letran improve to a 3-1 win-loss record and grab solo third spot.

"Hindi nag-give up coaches sakin, mino-motivate nila ako kahit ngayon lang ako naka-shoot ng three points ngayong season," said Luib.
"Yung mga teammates ko pinapasahan pa rin ako. Ako naman, nilalabanan ko lang yung pressure. Buti ngayon lumabas yung shooting."
Despite Luib's pesky defense on Jalalon, the Chiefs main man managed to score 17 points with 11 assists and three rebounds.
"Hindi mo naman maz-zero yun Si Jio kasi No. 1 point guard yun kaya kahit na ganun stats nya at least nagawa naman namin game plan namin na pigilan siya," said Luib.
Wingman Rey Nambatac agreed.
"Kapag sinabi mong Jio Jalalon, smart talaga e. Nacha-challenge kami," said Nambatac, who led all scorers with 22 points.
