MARK Cruz may be lacking in height, but certainly not in heart.
The deadly guard exploded for 13 points in the fourth quarter to power Letran to a come-from-behind 82-76 win over San Sebastian in the NCAA Season 91 seniors basketball tournament on Tuesday.
The 5-6 Cruz drained six three-pointers to finish with 29 points in a performance which he capped with a four-point play off an assist by Mcjour Luib in the final 55 seconds of the game.
His heroics allowed the Knights to roar back from as much as a 13-point deficit.
Then nangyari naman.”
Cruz added five assists and seven steals.
The younger brother of former PBA player Marvin Cruz is confident the Knights can win over unbeaten University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta in their highly-anticipated match up on Thursday.
“I think wala naman sigurong imposible sa basketball. Bilog yung bola so pwedeng mangyari,” he said.
