STRESSING the need for further exposure, Lyceum is planning to participate in the next season of the PBA D-League after its stint in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Pirates coach Bonnie Tan confirmed the development, saying the team is eyeing a partnership with Barangay Ginebra through school consultant Alfrancis Chua.

“It’s in the works,” Tan said after the Pirates’ 77-86 loss to College of St. Benilde on Saturday.

The move is definitely a welcome development for a Pirates side that lacked consistency against the Blazers, who were led by a bunch of D-League-experienced players in Mark Romero and Paolo Taha.

“Kulang sa leadership at consistency sa loob,” Tan said as his team dropped to an even 4-4 win-loss card. “Walang tibay pa. May tibay pero sandali lang. Hindi consistent."

That’s the reason why Tan wants to expose his players in what is considered the top breeding ground for pro aspirants.
