The Cubs took a 32-7 lead in the first quarter and cruised to victory, dealing the Staglets their ninth loss in 10 matches.
Arellano University used a big fourth quarter breakaway for a 90-64 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College.
Up by just four points, 55-51, at the end of the third quarter, Arellano took charge as Guilmer de la Torre exploded for 11 of his 19 points while Lars Sunga sizzled with eight of his 17 in the fourth.
"We made the necessary defensive adjustments in the fourth quarter, that was the key," said Arellano coach Tylon Darjuan.
The Brigadiers absorbed their 10th straight defeat.
Mapua survived an upset-conscious Jose Rizal, 81-79, for an 8-2 mark. The Light Bombers skidded to 2-8.
