LETRAN is intent on keeping Manny Pacquiao as its chief backer for its men's basketball team in the NCAA for the coming years.

Athletic director Fr. Vic Calvo said they are working on a deal to have Pacquiao return as team manager for the next three seasons.

"Wino-workout pa namin. Pipirmahan pa niya," said Calvo.

Letran is eyeing to continue their successful partnership with the Sarangani congressman after he committed to support the team in Season 91.

Under Pacquiao's watch, the Knights took the NCAA Season 91 title after beating San Beda in three games, ending a decade-long championship drought.

Moments after winning the crown, Pacquiao even promised a P100,000 bonus to each member of the team as incentive.

The team underwent a major change for the coming season with the signing of National University Bullpups coach Jeff Napa as the new mentor of the Knights.

Napa will take over a team that will no longer have Mark Cruz and Kevin Racal on its roster as the two have already turned pro.
