LETRAN leaned on fiery finishing kick to turn back Arellano, 87-81, and keep a share of the top spot with San Beda in the NCAA men's basketball at The Arena in San Juan on Friday.

Trailing by as much as 11 points, 65-76, halfway through the fourth period, the Knights scored the game's next 14 points to grab the lead, 79-76, on an and-one play by Felix Apreku with 2:11 minutes to go.

Zach Nichols tied the ball game, 79-all, with a three-pointer before Letran went on a 8-2 windup to match San Beda's league-best 12-4 record at the end of three crucial games played before a sellout crowd.

Arellano fell to 10-6.
