The rookie out of Silay City punctured 24 points, 14 rebounds, six steals, and two assists to lead the Lady Archers to their first win.
"Good way to start the season, but we have a lot of things to improve pa. It's a good experience for the first-year and second-year players to get their feet wet," said coach Cholo Villanueva.
Pastrana teamed up with Bennette Revillosa as they powered their way inside to help La Salle pull away in the second quarter to grab a 32-17 halftime lead.
Reviillosa chipped in 13 points, three rebounds, four steals, and an assist, while Chuchi Paraiso had eight points and four boards for the Lady Archers.
Jona Lebico topped the Lady Maroons with 11 points in the losing effort.
Not even the coaching change from Kenneth Raval to Paul Ramos could change the fate for UP as it bowed to its 31st straight loss.
In the first game, Ateneo rode the hot hands of Joanne Nimes to take the 74-65 win over University of the East.
The third-year guard collected 19 points as the Lady Eagles overturned a 52-53 deficit and pulled away in the fourth quarter to seal the nine-point win.
Nimes also added three rebounds and four assists for Ateneo.
"I like that they hustle towards the end. Of course, we wanted to have played with more intensity from the start," said coach Kat Quimpo, who replaced John Flores during the off-season.
Jhaz Joson added 15 points for the Lady Eagles, while Alyssa Villamor wound up with 14.
The Lady Warriors banked on Tin Cortizano, who had 18 points and nine rebounds in the defeat.
