JOSE Rizal University import Abdoul Poutouochi was immediately rushed to the hospital as his lower lip had to be lacerated following a collision with San Beda big man Ola Adeogun late in the two team’s NCAA Season 91 game Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.
Adeogun fell on Poutouochi after the San Beda stalwart fake a shot at the 3:40 mark of the final quarter.
“Na-lacerate yung lower lip niya and kailangan i-stitch,” said the medical staff on a standby at the venue.
JRU athletic director Paul Supan confirmed to Spin.ph that Poutouochi needed to be treated in a nearby hospital.
“Dadalhin na siya sa ospital ngayon,” said the JRU official.
Poutouochi finished with six points, eight rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes of play as the Heavy Bombers lost to the Red Lions, 83-75.
