JOM Sollano heaved a big sigh of relief after his breakout game for Letran on Friday against College of Saint Benilde.

Averaging 8.5 points and 2.5 rebounds entering the match-up against the Blazers, Sollano admitted he felt the weight of expectations after the Knights lost Mark Cruz and Kevin Racal for Season 92.

But a conversation with Letran coach Jeff Napa made him feel at ease, Sollano said.

“Last two games ko kasi, medyo nape-pressure ako kasi nasanay ako na nandyan si Mark Cruz, Kevin Racal. Umaasa ako sa kanila,” said Sollano.

Sollano had his best game of the season on Friday, finishing with 16 points and nine rebounds as the Knights pulled off a 56-52 win over the Blazers to improve their mark to 2-1.

“Dito ko kukunin ‘yung kumpiyansa ko,” said Sollano.

Napa said he likes Sollano’s attitude of wanting to do whatever it takes, even volunteering to come off the bench for this game against the Blazers, to help the Knights cause.
