ARELLANO scored its seventh straight victory, downing Emilio Aguinaldo College, 83-74, on Thursday in the NCAA Season 92 seniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Chiefs gained a share of the lead with San Beda with a 10-2 win-loss card.

Jio Jalalon had 21 points on top of eight rebounds and nine assists, to the delight of a predominantly Arellano crowd.

Arellano coach Jerry Codinera, however, was not completely satisfied with Chiefs’ play.

“Hindi namin ma-close ’yung game. Marami kaming mental lapses sa game,” said Codinera.

“We are thankful na we were able to win for our school. I hope hindi magsawa ’yung mga bata sa panalo,” he added.

Kent Salado had 15 points, and Lervin Flores had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, with three blocks for the Chiefs.

Jorem Morada scored 17, Hamadou Laminou had 16 points and nine rebounds, while Sidney Onwubere contributed 11 points and 18 boards for the Generals.
