EMILIO Aguinaldo College head coach Ariel Sison remained optimistic despite losing four straight games as he maintained the Generals just have to learn how to close out games for them to end their slump.

The Generals (1-4) lost another tight contest as they bowed to Jose Rizal University, 60-59, on Tuesday, just days before they dropped to Mapua, 70-67.

Sison acknowledged that playing steadier in the crucial moments of a match is going to be a learning process but he likes what he sees from his improving players as they managed to hang on against the league's best in Letran, San Beda, and Mapua—all Final Four teams last year..

“It’s a process. Kailangan talaga namin matutunan to close out the game,” said Sison.

“For me, ‘yung talo, okay lang. Pero don’t get me wrong. Acceptable pa rin (‘yung performance) kasi pressure ‘yun eh. ‘Yun nga, kailangan namin matutunan to close the game out,” he added.

After the game, Sison said his wards were not discouraged from the defeat against the Heavy Bombers.

“I told them tomorrow is another day. We go to practice and prepare for Tuesday,” said Sison as they face another top contender in Arellano.
