SAN Beda kept its unbeaten run going with an 88-70 win over Perpetual Help on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 92 basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Cameroonian import Donald Tankoua had 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Red Lions scored their fifth win in as many games to claim first place.
Erstwhile co-leader Mapua was earlier dealt its first loss by Arellano.
AC Soberano connected on five triples and finished with 15 points, while Robert Bolick chipped in 12 points for the Red Lions, who led by as many as 20 points.
San Beda coach Jamike Jarin played down the strong start of the Red Lions, noting contenders Letran and Mapua (4-1) are still close behind.
“If you look at the bracket, everybody is stacked up. If you win one, you get up. If you lose one, you go down. It still too early,” Jarin said.
