INJURED center Donald Tankoua believes San Beda has all it takes to win the NCAA Season 92 championship even without him.
Tankoua sustained an ACL injury in his right knee early in the second round and has been reduced to spectator and cheerleader since.
Still, the Red Lions continued their solid play and are one win away from claning their ninth title in 11 years after downing Arellano in the opening game of the finals.
"I believe in my teammates, I know they can do it," he said enthusiastically. "I feel happy for my teammates. We made it. I mean, without me, they made it. I'm really proud of them."
The Cameroonian import admitted feeling helpless in his situation as he had hopes of playing at the most crucial time of the season.
"It's really hard, there's no word to say about it. You know your teammates are playing without you and sometimes in critical situation." Tankoua said.
"When you feel like when you were there, you'd really help them. You can't do anything, you can't change the situation." he added.
The title is within reach, but Tankouasays the Red Lions are definitely not taking Arellano lightly, even as they scored their fourth win in four meetings with the Chiefs.
"All the games are not the same, so we try to do the same thing, go together, play together as a family," he said.
