PERPETUAL Help beat Emilio Aguinaldo College, 71-59, on Tuesday to extend its winning streak to six games in the NCAA Season 92 seniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Altas climbed to 8-2 to tie Arellano once again for second place.
Gab Dagangon had 18 points while Daryl Singontiko had 15 of his 17 points in the first half to lead the Altas, who took a 35-26 lead at the end of the second period.
“Kailangan namin ’yung panalo. Although medyo slow pace ng game, buti na lang naka-survive kami. Kailangan pa naming ituloy ‘yung effort especially on defense,” said Perpetual Help coach Jimwell Gican.
Bright Akhuetie had 13 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks for the Altas and had two missed dunks at the end game that would have put an electrifying finish to the match.
Sidney Onwubere had 16 points for the Generals, who slipped to 3-7.
