SAN Beda point guard Baser Amer could miss between four to six weeks after suffering a dislocated right shoulder on Thursday in the NCAA Season 91 seniors basketball tournament.
San Beda team manager Jude Roque confirmed the bad news on Friday after the national player sustained the injury in the second quarter of the Red Lions’ loss to Letran on Thursday.
Still, Roque isn’t discounting the possibility that Amer could return to action for the Red Lions this season, as per the timetable of his recovery.
“Dislocated shoulder. Might be out four to six weeks,” Roque said in an SMS message.
Roque clarified the injury is on the same shoulder but different from the one Amer suffered during the offseason while playing for Hapee in the PBA D-League.
“It’s the same shoulder but he was cleared to play. Unfortunately, it got banged up during a loose ball play yesterday,” said Roque.
