SIDELINED by an ACL injury, De La Salle forward Yutien Andrada has found a way to make himself useful as a member of the team staff.
The 22-year-old Andrada has volunteered to be the statistician for the team after suffering the same injury on the right knee that forced him to sit out the entire 2011 season of the UAAP.
Now the big man is a fixture at the back of the Green Archers' bench during UAAP games, jotting down numbers and making coach aware of foul situations every now and then.
“Wala naman kasi akong gagawin,” Andrada said.
Andrada said his knee is fine but he is still not allowed to participate in practice since he incurred the injury just last May.
Alam ko kasi next year pa ako makakabalik,” said Andrada.
Andrada’s rebounding and shotblocking presence will be missed this season, but his absence has allowed other La Salle big men to raise their games.
