THE brother of Rain or Shine cager Beau Belga and the son of ex-pro Onie Padilla won’t be suiting up for the Far Eastern University Tamaraws this season.

Billy Joe Belga and Arnie Padilla failed to make it to the 16-man roster of the Tamaraws ahead of Season 77 of the country's premier collegiate league opening on July 12.

All is not lost for the younger Belga and Padilla, however, as they are still part of the FEU squad. Padilla will even be a part of the Philippine team in the Fiba World Under-17 Championship this August in Dubai.

Rey Mark Belo and Mike Tolomia will lead the Tamaraws this season in their first year after losing former UAAP Most Valuable Players Terrence Romeo and RR Garcia, who have both turned pro.

Joining Belo and Tolomia will be Carl Bryan Cruz, Anthony Hargrove, Raymar Jose, Roger Pogoy, Jason David, Jeson Delfinado, Ron Dennison, Achie Inigo, and Joel Lee Yu.

Russel Escoto returns to the Tamaraws this season after suffering an ACL injury prior to last year’s tournament and will be joined by his rookie brother Richard, also a member of the youth teams that will compete in the Fiba Under-17 World Championship and the Fiba-Asia Under-18 Championship in August.

Augus Denila, Francis Tamsi, and Reeve Ugsang are the other first-year players of FEU coach Nash Racela.
