VEEJAY Pre is still in green-and-gold as much as Far Eastern University is concerned.
This comes from an insider who shared that the UAAP Season 87 Rookie of the Year is still in the Tamaraws camp and has been practicing with the team.
"Nandito pa rin naman si Veejay at kasama pa rin naman sa mga ensayo," the source said.
It's not that FEU is impervious to the rumors surrounding Pre and a potential move elsewhere but to them, the 6-foot-5 forward's presence is already enough of a proof to his commitment to the program.
For now, at least.
What couldn't be denied is the changing landscape in college basketball, one that another source inside the FEU camp is fully aware of, especially with Pre in the middle of transfer rumors last week.

"Dati masasabi mo yung poaching pag paakyat pa lang ng college. Ngayon, nakalaro na sa yo at maganda na ang pwesto, pero kinukuha pa rin ng iba. Hindi mo rin masisisi yung ibang players na mapaisip lalo na kung malaki talaga yung pinapangako ng ibang school," the insider shared.
As of now, things are still status quo as far as FEU is concerned, all the more with coach Sean Chambers expected to arrive from the United States by next week to begin the team's preseason build.

What's clear is that FEU is poised to participate in the upcoming 18th Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup this May.
On whether that will include Pre or not? That's a question that still has yet to get a categorical answer.
