KEVIN FERRER admitted losing his rhythm after being whistled for two early fouls in Game Two of the UAAP Season 76 men's basketball Finals Saturday.
Ferrer finished with only six points while missing all three of his three-point attempt in a 70-77 UST loss against La Salle at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The figures were a far cry from Ferrer's Game One statistics when he scored 20 points and shot 5-of-8 from beyond the arc in the Tigers' 73-72 win.
‘Yung rhythm,” said Ferrer, when asked what was the difference in his Game Two performance.
Ferrer had little to say about his foul troubles, but hinted some of the calls were questionable.
“Halos lahat nakakita na wala talaga. Kahit binigay namin 'yung best namin. Ayoko na talaga magsalita,” said Ferrer, who finished with four fouls.
When pressed further for comment, Ferrer said: “Kayo naman ang nakakita ng game. Wala na akong comment, ayoko nang magsalita, baka lumaki pa.”
UST coach Pido Jarencio said Ferrer was just not hitting his shots, but hopes his shooting consistency will come back in Game Three.
“Maraming tinira pero hindi pumapasok. ‘Yung mindset and consistency na lang,” said Ferrer.
