COACH Aldin Ayo was mum on the reason behind the benching of Rhenz Abando in University of Santo Tomas' 84-78 victory over University of the Philippines on Wednesday afternoon.
"Right now, I’m not gonna comment regarding that," he said.
The vastly improved forward showed up at the Mall of Asia Arena in street clothes and sat behind the bench, missing a game in UAAP Season 82 for the first time.
The team, however, hardly missed the 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 1.1 assists averages of the Sto. Tomas, La Union native as they pulled through with the win to rise to solo third place in the standings with a 6-5 record.

The 6-foot-2 high-flyer also refused to speak on the matter, politely excusing himself from interviews.
Sources bared Abando continues to attend the team practices.
