UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas has already wrapped up its investigation on the alleged Bicol bubble and now awaits its fate.
Games and Amusements Board (GAB) chairman Baham Mitra shared that the Espana-based school has completed its internal investigation and will submit the report to Rector Fr. Richard Ang, OP before passing the findings to the UAAP on Friday.
"UST will submit to the UAAP their internal investigation," he said in a short chat with Spin.ph.
The school, alongside officials from the UAAP led by president Nonong Calanog and executive director Atty. Rebo Saguisag, are currently meeting with government officials to tackle the Sorsogon sojourn where the players Tigers apparently trained as early as mid-June, in breach of health protocols.
Part of the probe team created by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for Emerging Infectious Diseases are officials from GAB, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) led by national training director Marc Velasco, Department of Health (DOH) represented by Rodley Carza, and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
UST's Institute of Physical Education and Athletics (IPEA) director Fr. Jannel Abogado, OP has already tendered his resignation on Tuesday on the heels of the issue, with Fr. Ermito de Sagon, OP returning to his old post as the school's head of athletics.

But the more details emerge from the bubble, the deeper UST gets in trouble.
Already divulged were waivers that the parents or legal guardians of the players were made to sign prior to the team's depature for Sorsogon. A video of the team training also emerged on social media before it was taken down.
On Wednesday, CJ Cansino, whose ouster from the team sparked the events that opened the lid of the unsanctioned training, shared on Twitter the contents of a group chat that revealed the players' concerns and worries while in Sorsogon.
