BISMARCK Lina's move to Diliman is now complete.
The 19-year-old former University of Santo Tomas Tiger Cub has officially changed addresses and will now head to Diliman for his college career.
Fighting Maroons coach Bo Perasol sealed the deal on Monday as Lina met with UP team manager Agaton Uvero to formalize the commitment.
"Bismarck is going to be part of the Season 84 team. He's a young man with great fighting attitude and potential," said the soft-spoken mentor.
Lina last week decommitted from UST following the burst of the controversial Bicol bubble, making him the eighth player to part ways from Espana since the issue.
The 6-foot-5 forward, a former Gilas Pilipinas Youth member and is the cousin of former King Tiger and current NorthPort gunner Kevin Ferrer, averaged 16.6 points, 10.9 points, and 2.1 assists last year with the Tiger Cubs.
As a true rookie out of high school, Lina can play his full five years with the Fighting Maroons.
He will make his debut for UP come UAAP Season 84, side-by-side with fellow UST transferee CJ Cansino, while also reuniting with Gilas Youth peers Carl Tamayo and Gerry Abadiano from National University-Nazareth School and RC Calimag from La Salle Greenhills.
