WITH a two-week camp set in Serbia, University of the Philippines shows it means business.
For the first time, the UP men's basketball team will hold training in Europe, and the Maroons are expected to play against professional teams in preparation for UAAP Season 81.
The Maroons will stay in Serbia from July 21 to August 4.
"This training camp should push us to be in the height of our condition," shared coach Bo Perasol.
"After this, we have at least a month to sustain it. We hope to benefit from the tune up games against Serbian and Croatian professional teams, as well."
Team captain Paul Desiderio leads the Fighting Maroons in the trip, together with Nigerian big man Bright Akhuetie, Season 80 Rookie of the Year Juan Gomez de Liano and brother Javi.
