ATENEO and University of the Philippines will roll out their big guns when they take part in the UAAP 3x3 tournament this weekend at Ayala Malls Feliz.
Thirdy Ravena, Matt Nieto, Matthew Daves, and Ivorian behemoth Ange Kouame are set to fly the flag for the Blue Eagles, who, this early, are looking like the team to beat in the men's division.
But not far behind are the Fighting Maroons, who will parade celebrated recruits Kobe Paras and Ricci Rivero together with brothers Juan and Javi Gomez de Liano.
Jerrick Ahanmisi, meanwhile, will lead Adamson where he'll be joined by Simon Camacho, Jerom Lastimosa, and Keith Zaldivar.
La Salle will be banking on Encho Serrano, Mark Dyke, Christian Manaytay, and UAAP 1x1 champion Jordan Bartlett.
FEU brings in a formidable crew with Wendell Comboy, Clifford Jopia, Alec Stockton, and Ken Tuffin; UST parades Soulemane Chabi Yo, Renzo Subido, Rhenz Abando, and Dave Ando; and NU will trot Daniel Chatman, JV Gallego, Michael Malonzo, and Karl Penano.
UE will not participate in the men's side.
Meanwhile, NU remains as the standard in the women's division as Jack Animam, Ria Nabalan, Monique del Carmen, and Rhena Itesi carry the colors for the Lady Bulldogs.
Adamson, though, is ready to give them a run for their money with Mar Prado, Kath Araja, Shellyn Bilbao, and Rose Ann Dampios, while FEU will rely on Clare Castro, Valerie Mamaril, Blanche Bahuyan, and Elaisa Adriano.
Sai Larosa, Elondra Rivera, Tantoy Ferrer, and Maria Carolina Sangalang will be representing UST, as Cristine Cortizano, Princess Ganade, and sisters Anne Jill Lou while Princess Dianne Pedregosa are set to complete for UE.
Ateneo is banking on Katrina Guytingco, Mary Angeluz Moslares, Lettice Miranda, and Zoe Chu; La Salle will bring in Bettina Binaohan, Bennette Revillosa, Joehanna Arciga, and Baby Charmine Torres, and UP will have Noella Cruz, Stiffany Larrosa, Lourdes Ordoveza, and Cindy Joyce Gonzales.
