FORMER San Beda cager Dave Moralde led University of the Philippines to an 88-77 victory over Ateneo-B on Sunday at the start of the 20th Fr. Martin Summer Cup at the San Beda gym.
Moralde had 27 points, including 13 in the second period, as the Maroons posted a 49-40 halftime lead. He also had two triples at the start of the third quarter.
Kyles Lao, last season’s UAAP Rookie of the Year, added 18 points for State U.
In juniors action, Manila Patriotic School downed San Beda-B in overtime, 93-86.
